Did God create sin?

God created beings capable of choosing, and that capacity was good. Sin arose from the misuse of that freedom, not from a defect in what God made.

Scripture: James 1:13

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempteth no man.
