Pakistani-Bangladeshi playback singer and film music composer. Born in Baghdad to a Bengali father and Arab Catholic mother; first developed his musical talent singing in church choirs. Known as the "Madan Mohan of Pakistan," he composed music for landmark Lollywood films including Chanda, Talash, Chakori, Aaina. Won 6 Nigar Awards. Died February 13, 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and was buried with Christian rites at the Old Christian Cemetery, Wari.
